Next week’s episode of Impact! is hyped as a “Night of Reveals,” but how revealing is it when the show was taped this week? Same way WWE fans were livid three days early, the “Night of Reveals” has already been revealed thanks to spoilers.
Welcome back to The Wrestling Times. While WWE attempts to create new and exciting storylines, TNA Wrestling (or Impact Wrestling) is set to change the landscape of Thursday Nights yet again. “Everything will Change” seems to be a recurring theme, and yet, nothing has changed. Let’s discuss wrestling.
Who’s representing The Network? Who’s Matt Hardy’s partner? And who’s Kurt Angle’s mistress?

Before we get into that, what’s the deal with Sangriento? (More like Sargento.) As if TNA needed another masked wrestler. Could TNA be compensating for the loss of Shark Boy? Or the obvious, straight rip off of WWE’s newest luchador sensation Sin Cara.
TNA’s newest “luchador” was successful in his first bout against Suicide, but failed to make an impact. The awkward set up for moves, and the lack of lucha style maneuvers quickly killed my interest in this character. Aside from the back springboard into a cutter finisher, Sangriento’s only semblance of lucha was his constant hurricanranas. If that were enough, then most of the WWE Divas are bona fide luchadors.
The Network was actually a stable that was formed in 1999 when ECW began to broadcast nationally on TNN. Their goal? To constantly criticize the violent nature of ECW programming. So wouldn’t it make sense that TNA’s The Network representative be an ECW Original? No… it’s not Tommy Dreamer. Can’t be Rob Van Dam, or Bully Ray either… Maybe Brother Devon.
Well, wrong on all counts. The representative has been revealed as Mick Foley. *Bang! Bang!*
Matt Hardy has issued a challenge to Beer Money Inc. for the TNA World Tag Team Championship. The match will most likely occur at Sacrifice, but who will be Matt’s partner?
Go back to July 8, 2008. On an episode of ECW, Matt Hardy (ECW Champion) welcomed Braden Walker to the roster. To TNA fans, he was known as Chris Harris, one half of America’s Most Wanted with James Storm. This will be interesting to see Beer Money’s reaction.
And the final reveal was so titillating that the story was picked up by TMZ. After a nine-year hiatus, Former WWF Women’s and Intercontinental Champion Chyna has resurfaced in TNA as Kurt Angle’s mistress. According to TMZ’s sources, Chyna is currently working with TNA on a good faith deal. So no contract, just a handshake, and hope she sticks around. Word has it, from those present in the Impact! Zone, that Chyna isn’t as physically built as she once was.
So instead of being “The Ninth Wonder of The World,” it’s just a wonder that she’s back. Does she still have what it takes to make an impact in the wrestling world? Probably, because Chyna has already been offered a one-year contract to wrestle for Japan’s infamous Inoki Genome Federation, founded and owned by WWE Hall of Famer Antonio Inoki.
