The Miz and R-Truth were fired last Monday night from the WWE. Despite accepting their apology and fining them nearly a quarter million for assaulting the referees at Night of Champions, Triple H, still the C.O.O., terminated their contracts without any explanation.
How did Miz and R-Truth respond? By storming the backstage area and attacking Triple H, before they were thrown out of the building. The question remains, why did Triple H fire The Miz and R-Truth?
Could the referees have petitioned for their releases, or did The Game feel he had to set an example? After all, Miz-Truth interfered in his match against CM Punk last Sunday. A match that had his job on the line. And seeing as both men have spoken adamantly about their unhappiness with Triple H as C.O.O., HHH may have felt it prudent to be rid of his threats.
This sudden turn of events initially broke out immediately following Miz and Truth’s tag team main event match against John Cena and CM Punk. Triple H, promising at the top of the show that he would get to the bottom of the controversies, and fire those responsible, pinpointed The Miz and R-Truth as the miscreants.
And just when it appeared The Miz and R-Truth had turned over a new leaf, as evident from following the rules in tag team wrestling, they were backed into a corner and unleashed their fury on The Game.
Will this be the last time we see either The Miz or R-Truth? Knowing John Laurinaitis, these two appear to be a text message away, and that’s the Truth. And when they return, it will be awesome.
