Take away the celebrities. Take away the pyrotechnics. Take away the inflatable letters. And take away the light-bright jackets, what do you have? WWE Champion CM Punk and Chris Jericho have gone back and forth arguing over who the best in the world truly is, with the verbiage usually ending in a stalemate.
While some “critical” fans were at a loss as Punk and Jericho threw around the title of Best in the World, this past Monday, their war of words reached a critical boiling point, and a resolve at the same time. Chris Jericho knowingly admitted that the January 2nd video promos, and his jacket were just “window-dressing” to what his intent was: to embarrass CM Punk at WrestleMania by winning the WWE championship.
Best in the World versus Best in the World has the makings of being the best pro wrestling match in WrestleMania history. Chris Jericho and CM Punk have been cut from the same mold, with pro wrestling in their blood. But while Jericho has been split pursuing other forms of entertainment, CM Punk’s sole passion has been to be a professional wrestler.
