Finlay
Last time he was relevant.
In 2008, Finlay was sent to ECW as part of the Supplemental draft. While there, Finlay competed for the ECW title. The most memorable being against Matt Hardy on an episode of ECW. Finlay’s final opportunity at the ECW title was at The Bash where he competed in a Championship Scramble match against then-champion Tommy Dreamer.
What happened?
Finlay was unsuccessful, on four attempts, in becoming ECW Champion. In 2009, Finlay was drafted over to SmackDown, as part of Donald Trump’s 15-man trade, and was never able to pick himself up from the mid-card slump. And after a while, Finlay just stopped appearing on television all together.
His last known appearance was on June 4, 2010 in a Battle Royal to determine who would take The Undertaker’s spot in the World Heavyweight Championship title match at the Fatal 4-Way pay-per-view.
Solution: According to officials, he is a Trainer and Agent for the company and is semi-retired from the ring. Finlay should just fully retire himself from the ring. Because as of right now, he is the oldest wrestler listed on the WWE roster. Even older than Undertaker. I know…
Tyler Reks
Last time he was relevant.
Who is he? He came to ECW as part of a 4-man Superstar initiative to ease the blow of RAW stealing all their potential stars. Among those four was Tyler Reks; along with Sheamus, Yoshi Tatus, and Abraham Washington. He had a surfer-dude gimmick, and had a short standing feud with Zack Ryder on WWE Superstars.
What happened?
He just didn’t connect with the fans. He failed to make the impact necessary in becoming a WWE superstar. He tired a heel gimmick at a house show, but once again, no connection.
Solution: Just fire him.
Chavo Guerrero
Last time he was relevant.
The last time Chavo Guerrero was on top was ECW. He finally defeated C.M. Punk, in his 3rd attempt, in a No DQ match. Thanks to the assistance of then-brother-in-law and then-World Heavyweight Champion Edge, Chavo Guerrero became the ECW Champion.
What happened?
Guerrero, the name means warrior. He is a Guerrero with no fight left in him. Chavo promised that 2010 would be a different year. That he would be a winner. But two matches after that promise was made, it was broken. At the height of the Celebrity Guest Host angle that Monday Night RAW is still plugging away as a good idea, Chavo was forced into un-win-able matches against Hornswoggle. It was the lowest point of wrestling on every week of RAW. Wrestling Observer Newsletter ranked the feud with Chavo and Hornswoggle Worst Feud of the Year 2009.
He currently works as an on-screen character with his aunt Vickie Guerrero.
Solution: Allow Chavo to wrestle! Guerrero was once dragged out by security, while yelling to Randy Orton “You forgot about the Guerreros – the greatest wrestling family!” and “You forgot me!” Guess what, WWE has forgotten how great Chavo was. And without a cruiserweight title on the show, Chavo has nothing left.
Kane
Last time he was relevant.
On June 4, 2010, GM Teddy Long announced Undertaker was found in a vegetative state. In other words, Undertaker is too injured to compete. Kane delivered a powerful eulogy, and claimed that his brother would never rise from the dead, again. He then began interrogating the three other competitors in the Fatal 4-Way match (Big Show, Jack Swagger, and C.M. Punk). He even questioned eventual replacement-Rey Mysterio. Who coincidentally is the actual reason why Undertaker is injured.
What happened?
Despite the fans undying praise, Kane simply has the worst feuds in the WWE. Wrestling Observer pegged him with five god-awful feuds: Triple-H, Shane McMahon, Matt Hardy w/ Lita, Big Daddy V, and Rey Mysterio.
He’s given the fame of eliminating the most people in a single Royal Rumble event, but he’s never won. He couldn’t even win the Battle Royal to replace his brother.
Solution: Have him continue this angle of exacting revenge on his brother, and actually make a good feud out of it.
